Water Droplets

I watched a youtube video yesterday where people were taking photographs of falling water droplets and thought I'd give it a go. 15minutes of sitting in a dark bathroom trying to co-ordinate the camera firing, turning on and off the tap and flashing with a speedlight all at the same time I came back with these 2 pictures. I am actually quite happy how they came out and see that there is a lot of scope to play with here in the future with different backgrounds, lighting setups etc.. [gallery link="file" columns="1"]

A Spot of Polo

I was away on holiday skiing last week and whilst I was away there was a snow polo match so naturally I popped along to take some snaps. Here are a few of my favourites. It was an interesting situation to shoot in because I had limited equipment and was shooting at very high ISO's to try and freeze the action. I was impressed that I got usable photos out of my camera @4000ISO and consequently am much more willing to shoot higher so I can capture a sharp image..the image is more important than the noise.
